What is a Rottweiler Sieger Show?

A Sieger Show is a German-Style Conformation Show. Rottweilers are exhibited in a natural state, no hand-stacking is permitted as is seen in the AKC show ring. Dogs are baited with toys from outside of the ring by a second handler. Each dog is individually critiqued aloud by the judge and given a rating in regards to how the dog conforms to the breed standard and the judge's critique is recorded in writing and given to the exhibitor. After every dog in the class has been critiqued, the dogs will run so that the judge can evaluate their movement and fitness. Handlers can be changed as often as needed. When the judge is satisfied that they have been able to evaluate all the dogs in the ring against each other, the judge will award 1st through 4th placements.

The Best Puppy Male and Female are selected from the puppy class winners. The National Youth Sieger and Siegerin, Regional Youth Sieger and Siegerin or Select Youth Male and Female are selected from the youth class winners. The National Select Male and Female or Regional Select Male and Female are selected from the adult class winners inelligible for Sieger or Siegerin. The National Sieger and Siegerin, Regional Sieger and Siegerin are selected from the eligible adult class winners.

Local Club Sieger Shows

Local shows are regular shows hosted by USRC clubs. The class winners are eligible to be awarded Best Puppy Male and Female, Select Youth Male and Female and Select Adult Male and Female

Regional Sieger Shows

Regional Sieger shows are hosted by USRC clubs with one Regional show per region annually. The class winners are eligible to be awarded Best Puppy Male and Female, Regional Youth Sieger and Siegerin, Regional Select Adult Male and Female and Regional Sieger and Siegerin

USRC National Sieger Show

USRC annually conducts a National Sieger Show. The class winners are eligible to be awarded National Best Puppy Male and Female, National Youth Sieger and Siegerin, National Select Adult Male and Female and National Sieger and Siegerin. Adults competing at the National Sieger Show may also be eligible for the Universal Sieger and Siegerin awards.
