USRC Show Entry Information For Exhibitors

General Information
- Rottweilers with a valid USRC recognized registration (from AKC, CKC, USRC, or any FCI member Kennel Club) may participate in USRC shows.
- The FCI Standard for the Rottweiler dated 2018 will be used for judging.
- An entered dog's original registration, hip certification and support documents for requisite titles (when applicable) must be available at the show for inspection if requested. The original USRC Registration Certificate will be accepted as proof of titles and health certifications provided all required information is on the Registration Certificate.
- All entrants will receive entry acknowledgment prior to the show date.
- Dogs with missing teeth will be disqualified. Dog with Broken teeth, still visible in the mouth may be evaluated at the judge's discretion.
- Show participants may be subject to discipline for misconduct in accordance with the USRC Misconduct and Discipline Regulations
- All judge's decisions are final. No appeals are possible
Tail Information
- Effective Sept 1, 2014, dogs docked by an individual after becoming a USRC member are prohibited from entering USRC events.
- Docked dogs born in countries where docking is forbidden by law are prohibited from entering USRC events.
- Dogs docked after seven (7) days from birth are prohibited from entering USRC events
USRC Show Classes
Puppy Classes:- 4-6 Month Male/Female (optional) - For all Rottweilers between the ages of 4-6 months
- 6-9 Month Male/Female - For all Rottweilers between the ages of 6-9 months
- 9-12 Month Male/Female - For all Rottweilers between the ages of 9-12 months
- 12-18 Month Male/Female - For all Rottweilers between the ages of 12-18 months
- 18-24 Month Male/Female - For all Rottweilers between the ages of 18-24 months
- Open Male/Female - For all Rottweilers 24 months and older
- Champion Male/Female - For all Rottweilers 24 months and older that have earned a USRC recognized Championship (AKC, CKC or a FCI member kennel club)
- Working Male/Female - For all Rottweilers 24 months and older with a USRC recognized SchH/VPG/IPO title.
- Sieger/Siegerin Class - For all Rottweilers 24 months and older that have earned a Sieger or Siegerin title at a USRC National or Regional Sieger show or have been awarded the USRC Universal Sieger title.
- Veteran Male/Female (optional) - For all Rottweilers 7 years or older on the day of the show. Veteran class entries are not eligible for show awards and receive critiques without ratings or placements.
- Kennel Group (optional) - Three or more dogs bred by the kennel owner and registered with the kennel name of the entrant. The kennel owner need not be the registered owner of the dogs. All dogs must first be entered in the show's regular classes. Written critiques are not given. 1st through 4th place will be awarded.
- Brood Bitch (optional) Entered by the owner of the brood bitch. The brood bitch and at least two of her produce must appear in the ring. The bitch must have a USRC recognized Breed Test and have been at least 24 months of age at the time of breeding. The class is to be evaluated on the merits of the produce. The owner of the brood bitch need not be the owner of the produce. The produce must first be entered in the show's regular classes. Written critiques are not given. 1st through 4th place will be awarded.
- Stud Dog (optional) - Entered by the owner of the stud dog. The stud dog and at least two of his get must appear in the ring. The dog must have a USRC recognized Breed Test and have been at least 24 months of age at the time of breeding. The class is to be evaluated on the merits of the get. The owner of the stud dog need not be the owner of the get. The get must first be entered in the show's regular classes. Written critiques are not given. 1st through 4th place will be awarded.
Class Eligibility
- When a dog is eligible for more than one adult class, the dog’s owner determines the entry.
- All dogs entering over 30 months of age must have a hip rating or number, pass or fail, from OFA, ADRK or an FCI member kennel club, which will be listed in the catalog
- Copies of documents for all titles and hip ratings must be sent with any entry for adult classes. The USRC Registration Certificate will be accepted as proof of titles if the requisite titles appear on the Registration Certificate.
- Adult dogs entered in the Champion, Working or Sieger/in classes without proof of titles submitted by the entry closing date will be moved to the Open class
- A class change is permitted for an entered dog after the entry closing date and prior to the start of the day's judging.
- If a dog is ineligible for an entered class, the dog must be moved to the proper class prior to the start of that class.
- If a dog is shown in a class it is ineligible for, any placements or awards received will be revoked.
- Spayed or neutered dogs may not enter a USRC conformation show with the exception of the Veteran, Stud Dog and Brood Bitch classes.
- Dogs with Restricted USRC Registrations or AKC Limited Registrations may not enter a USRC Show.
The Show Ring
- Dogs are shown in a natural stance (no hand stacking), and may be baited with toys at the judge's discretion. Baiting with food is generally prohibited by the judges.
- Dogs will be moved (run) long enough for the judge to evaluate the dog's movement and fitness. Handlers may be changed as needed.
- Each dog will be individually evaluated and receive a rating along with a written critique.
- 1st through 4th place may be awarded in each class.
- Placements and awards may be withheld by the judge at their discretion.
- Sports attire is customary

Show Awards
The 1st place winners of each of the classes will be presented to the judge for the appropriate award
The following awards may be given:
- Best Puppy Male and Female - selected from the puppy class winners
- National Youth Sieger and Siegerin, Regional Youth Sieger and Siegerin or Select Youth Male and Female - selected from the youth class winners
- National Select Male and Female or Regional Select Male and Female - selected from the adult class winners ineligible for Sieger or Siegerin
- National Sieger and Siegerin, Regional Sieger and Siegerin - selected from the eligible adult class winners
- USRC Universal Sieger and Siegerin, awarded at the National Sieger show.
Sieger and Siegerin Eligibility
To be eligible for Sieger or Siegerin at a regional or national show the dog must have:- USRC recognized IGP or other working title. Working titles that shall be considered valid for the purpose of USRC Sieger/in include but are not limited to IGP, IGP - V, French Ringsport Brevet or higher, Mondioring Brevet or higher, etc. Additional degrees may be considered for acceptance by vote of the USRC Executive Board if done 14 days prior to the event.
- A valid USRC recognized Breed Suitability Test
- Received a V rating in the class on the day of the show
- Any winning dog will have a USRC registration form completed by the show secretary and e-mailed to the Administrator of Records.
